Looking Back
by: Lee Young
Remember your younger years when you would say "What a day" and you just returned home from school. And your parents would assure you how good you have it? I’m sure a lot of you are aware how the story goes. After the lesson of what took place and what they had to put in place, you start to realize as you grow that really you are carrying on the traditions and evolution of what they had to go through, but just in a different perspective. We start to realize, as we grow, that we have more control over our own lives and then as we grow with the career and challenges of life we start to find that life can be taken to a new level. The level then will be handed over to the next generation and then be taken to the next understanding.
To try a little to put this in the proper perspective, we all have new challenges, and some of them are the same our parents went through, not only parents but pioneers as well. If it wasn’t for these pioneers, we would not have what we so proudly live for today. For example Freedom…
Freedom has brought us forth to speak up and step out. This is something that is still happening today as you are reading this Dirt section. We know we are spoiled, because we are constantly told this. People together building a strong and happy community that will reach out to the world and help others feel comfortable, is something we can all be proud of. We have a lot here in Guerneville to be happy about, everyday I talk to friends on the phone and see people about, and they keep reminding me how Lucky I am to live in a place where I can live and be myself. There is a lot of people that would love to just live close, so they can feel the magic, but may never have a chance. So here’s to another day in paradise.
Home Sweet Home
At Last!
